The centre of the Milky Way is the only galactic nucleus where individual stars can be resolved down to milli-parsec scales, providing an unparalleled opportunity to better understand galactic nuclei and their role in galaxy formation and evolution. It hosts two prominent stellar structures: the nuclear star cluster and the nuclear stellar disc. The Galactic centre is also closely linked to large-scale structures such as the Galactic bar, which influences its dynamics and evolution. However, extreme crowding and high extinction pose significant challenges to understanding its formation history, stellar populations, and structure. In this talk, I will present our latest results on the Galactic centre’s stellar components, offering new insights into the nature of this complex environment.
