Cosmology with the Cosmic Web – Yanchuan Cai

Yanchuan Cai (University of Edinburgh) Cosmology with the Cosmic Web On large scales, the matter distribution of the Universe follows a web-like pattern, consisting of knots, filaments, sheets and voids. The cosmic-web is a non-Gaussian field, containing invaluable information about cosmology and astrophysics. I will summarise recent research activities in trying to extract some of this information, and how we can use statistics of the cosmic-web to tackle some of the major problems in modern-day cosmology.
