Gravitational waves from the inspiral and merger of a neutron star binary were detected last year by LIGO/Virgo.  As a result, we now move into the era of gravitational wave astronomy.  I will briefly describe how one can use signals such as that detected to constrain neutron star oscillations and possibly study their properties.
