Asteroseismology has produced an authentic revolution in many fields of astrophysics. Thanks to the advent of large time-span space observations, asteroseismology has allowed new insights in the fields of stellar physics, exoplanet systems, and galaxy evolution. In this talk, I will review the main discoveries and status of the CoRoT, Kepler and K2 missions, and discuss the prospects and future of the field with the launch of the TESS satellite in 2017.
